🔬 Science Element

Speed tells us how fast something moves and depends on distance traveled and time taken (Speed = Distance ÷ Time). Velocity tells us how fast and in which direction something moves and depends on displacement and time. Distance is the total path traveled with no direction. Displacement is the straight-line change from start to finish and includes direction; it can be zero if you end where you started. Same speed with different directions means different velocities.
